Story

Triangle Accent

This blend is named for Aldo Leopold, a revered ecologist and author. It is a coffee we roast a bit longer than our other offerings, with the goal of muting acidity, accentuating mouthfeel, and caramelizing sugars. Aldo's is roasted for our loyal supporters who are nostalgic for flavors reminiscent of the classic diner coffee - strong, rich, bold. It’s currently comprised of the following:

  • 50% Gold Mountain - a washed process compilation of coffees from Jinotega and Matagalpa, Nicaragua. This regional blend is comprised of multiple lots from all of the growers working with the export/import company from whom we source this offering, Gold Mountain Coffee.
  • 50% Celso and Gertrudes - this is a smaller (14 /15) screen size blend from Celso and Gertrudes, who we’ve been consistently purchasing from for the past few years. Sourced through our partners at Fazenda Ambiental Fortaleza (FAF), this smaller screen size blend (aka Mirim) has been a staple component of Aldo’s for 3 consecutive seasons.

1000 Faces Coffee is a coffee roaster, merchant of change, and voyager of the agrarian spirit. We travel to countries of origin and establish relationships with producers to ensure the integrity of our coffee. Since we opened our doors on day one, we have been working in partnership with the two most important ends of the 1000 Faces spectrum: the grower and the customer. It is this partnership that is at the foundation for real economic sustainability for not just us, but all parties involved. We believe that respect for geographic origin, direct relationships, and ecological awareness is the basis for creating a more sustainable coffee culture. Building on these principles, from seed to cup, 1000 Faces has set out to help you buy fresh roasted coffee beans of unsurpassed integrity and quality.

This is one of my original favorites. Not too dark, not too light it meets right in the middle for a wonderful dark side of medium blend.

This has been one of my favorite coffee beans of all time. It is delicious when brewed with pour over, even as an espresso.
